If the word longevity would have a collage of pictures in the Romanian dictionary, then Dacia would probably be amongst them. But since I doubt such a colorful section exists, it's better to take a better look at the Dacia commercials they've been showing lately, stop for a longer second when you pass an old and shabby car, or go through your old black and white photos in your parents' albums. Any of these moments could snap you out of the daily routine and bring amusement or melancholy together with such a defining part of our local culture.

Or you could see how Vlad Nanca relates to this automobile through his photography exhibition at the French Institute, from now until March 15th.

We're not guaranteeing you'll feel better about the drivers, but then again, art has a funny way of sneaking into our hearts and making us more sensitive. And Vlad, too.

The exhibition officially opens on Wednesday, February 21st, at 6:30pm.
