You know that myth about a new hairstyle having the power to push you out into the future by making you feel like a whole new person? Well, it seems to work so well, that I suggest we start treating a visit to the hairdresser like an opportunity to a new personality.
I often fall for these urges, and, admittedly or not, I am NOT alone. I can quote a recent statistic (which should remain nameless, due to the entertainment nature of this article, as opposed to… say… a
Gallup document), which states that 9 out of 10 girls who sit on the stylists chair ask for a… change. Well, if you too are seeking that, there is no better place to find yourself in than Ludmila Rusen’s chair.
Ludmila is the fresh winner of
Wella Galla 2004, which took place on November 27th, at Sala Palatului. For those who know the salons’ behind-the-scenes, this is the most important contest in the field of hair beauty and style, in Romania. The Galla’s theme was "Tales of Folk", and Ludmila executed the entire do on stage, from the color to the cutting and the actual elaboarte styling. She also managed to get some braiding in, and pull out rebel hairs and strands that fell in curls or lazy locks.
She’s a laid back, calm and understanding angel, so you can rest assured that your worries will be listened to and that she will give you her undivided sympathy. While her little fingers will work themselves through your hair, you will become your “pre-salon vision”.
This year the hair has volume, it’s luxurious and full of vitality, and some soft, shiny, golden colors will make you look drenched in light. Big curls add an interesting note to your hairstyle, and you can also run wild with some colorful pins or small material pieces that can find their way inside small braids.
Having said that, go through that change you’ve been contemplating, get a hair job, be a superstar on a superstar’s chair, and make Mother Nature proud! If not for the holidays, then make it a New Year resolution.
