Luxury brands in Bucharest

Habits are hard to break; some people even call on institutions and pay big bucks to shed nasty old behaviors.
I also want to stop thinking that authentic Italian fashion or French perfume can only be purchased outside Romania. And alas, I do see the light springing left and right, on main shopping avenues or unconventional winding streets, like so:
Victoria 46 – unisex international fashion and accessories. Brands: Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Baldessarini, 7 for all Mankind jeans, Tarina Tarantino, Balenciaga. Tip: they’ll park your car in front of the store and do alterations on premises. Price point: starting at 90EUR.
Le Club – mostly feminine Italian fashion and accessories. Brands: Dolce&Gabbana, Valentino, Blumarine, Ana Molinari. Tip: call for a private appointment, which means free counseling. Price point: starting at 200EUR.
Distinto – unisex shoes and bags. Brands: Casadei, Pollini, Moschino. Price point: starting at 200EUR.
Exquisit – unisex shoes and bags. Brands: Church’s, Sergio Rossi, Giuseppe Zanotti, Vicini, Roberto Cavalli, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Tip: great selection. Price point: starting at 200EUR.
Catwalk –shoes. Brands: Fratelli Rosetti and Bruno Magli. Tip: take advantage of their e-mail service which keeps you informed with new arrivals and services. Price point: starting at 200EUR.
The Place – mostly feminine advanced designers, lingerie, accessories, art&media. Brands: Comme des Garcons, Jimmy Choo, Paul Smith fragrance, iPod, Buddha Bar CD’s. Tip: the collection changes very often. Price point : starting at 50EUR.
