Happy Valentine’s Day!

And now on to what’s really important, which is New York Fashion Week, and which, unfortunately, just ended. Among the debuts that revolutionized last week was Alexandre Herchcovitch . But that’s not my main topic today, but rather the utter chaos at Herchcovitch’s backstage. And I’m not talking about the chaos due to the usual mishaps such as twisted ankles caused by falling on high heels, either. So what was the real reason behind the madness?

Alexandre Herchcovitch, the Brazilian who conquered NY, joined forces with his fellow country label Rio based “Melissa”, and they came up with a wonderful prodigy, “the jelly wedge”. Their product is that much more noteworthy, as the shoe is real sturdy, thus not bending under the conceited catwalk they’ve been subjected to. What nobody could predict was that the models would lose their cool and jump at each other’s throats, for the coveted prize of walking away with two or three pairs of the jelly wedges. The trend followed when New York’s Opening Ceremony began selling the shoes; the agony only lasted a day, however, since they ran out of stock before closing for the day.
We’re awfully sorry for not being able to direct you towards the Romanian store that sells the jewel, but we think you’ll be happy with the eye candy. Just keep an eye on some knock offs, or pick a pair up when in Rio!
