If you think that Bucharest gets eclipsed in the summer by hot travel destinations or by Black Sea beaches, you might be talking last year stuff. Which you shouldn't.
Bucharest takes the front stage the weekend of July 1st, and it does it in a very last.fm , sold-out-in-the-first-ten-minutes sort of way, with names that strike a few serious chords.
Thus, here they go:
Friday, June 29th : Hooverphonic, Morcheeba, Faithless
Saturday, June 30th : Kasabian, Reamonn, Pink
Sunday, July 1st : Wu-Tang Clan, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson
And the list seems to not close, as the organizers keep adding more names and more reasons to not miss the blast (i.e. a silent disco tent). So make up your mind if you want to go for the full three days (180RON), or VIP style (300RON/day), and by the time you've got the tickets in your pocket, you would have secured the summer's highlight weekend. In Bucharest, that is.
