When advertisers proceed to shooting a video commercial, they aim to capture the public with their message. They also dream that the message will remain with the audience for as long as possible. That’s the dream of a filmmaker, as well. One difference, however, is that the filmmakers we’re talking about here only get 1 minute. 60 seconds, to put it more vividly.
That’s insane, if you think about it, but if you want to see how it could be done, brilliantly in some cases, take a look at the
International One-Minute Film Festival website. You can do more than look; you can actually view the films and vote between now and September 30th, 2006 and your vote will count towards the Audience Award.
While browsing through the films you can find how much Romania had to do with the festival, you can see how long 60 seconds can be, and you can connect to art that only takes a minute.
