Element: n. A fundamental, essential, or irreducible constituent of a composite entity.
Now that's some definition, bringing with it serious implications once the term is used. And daringly enough, the plural emblem is worn by a spot that manages to create a new category for places to meet.

Ironically, Elements has wide window walls overlooking the McDonald's on Buzesti, its concept standing existentially and diametrically on the opposite side of the spectrum.
To begin with, the modern bungalow look and feel of Elements exudes understated quality and refinement: the music is loungy and peaceful, the well-dressed staff moves with a purpose and with a quirky tendency for having fun, the furniture is minimalist, with dark wood and creamy leather softening the grayish daylight, the wide bar bay and the wine wall behind it have no rival in Bucharest, and the diverse seating areas subtly allow for dining, lounging, dancing, partying, smooching, as well as wheeling and dealing.

The menu covers a full culinary range and an entire day's worth of choices, from eggs benedict, to soups, salads, pasta and sandwiches, from fish to grill meat of all kinds, all cooked and presented in sophisticated arrangements. The beverage menu is also complete to satisfy either a power lunch or a crazy night out, and that's not by chance. Elements behaves like a chameleon, changing from a proper scene for business lunch meetings to a happening night club, complete with pinkish violet strobe lights, DJ's, and cigars for those who ritualize socializing.

And speaking of ritual, that's exactly the status that attention to details achieves here: the silverware is of sleek Italian design, the glasses come in far from banal shapes, the leather placemats are stamped with the Elements logo, the chairs have a knob that controls the recline angle, the bathrooms (aside from looking like the coolest skateboard ramp) are roomy, well equipped, with hooks for purses or coats and with music that keeps you in your element, so to speak.

In the very likely event you'll fall for this establishment, you can also try to celebrate the New Year there for packages of 250EUR or less, depending on how extravagant you are. But in any case, waste no time to enter this place, and make sure to call and reserve, or else you'll have to settle for much less exciting elements.
