A ZF article in June 2006 ignites the curiosity of some.
Then, an expected opening date of September 2006.
Oh, actually, more like... October 2006.
But October passed, so did November, and the New Year's Eve, as well as Martisor.
So for those who thought it would never happen, it finally did, and the centurions laboring over the fortress of their heritage have unofficially released the padlocks: Heritage, the long awaited banker's venture, seasoned with all the high cuisine standards they'd expect, has finally opened its doors.

If your table will have eight guests as ours did, you're possibly going to hear just as many opinions, so in order to get you and your wallet prepared, we've summed it all up.

An imposing two-level house will host you with aging shades of cream, massive wooden beams, scattered handwritten words, and a most beautiful mosaical, regal parquet in the main dining area. The atmosphere, however, remains stiff and cold.

The menu is sophisticated and inventive, a live chanteuse periodically fills up the air with high tones, and the spaces between the tables are populated by the 50+ staff, all dressed in black. You can expect Foie gras crème brulee, Vegetable veloute with truffles served as a cappuccino (a very chic appetizer, with foam and all), Lobster risotto with Belle Epoque Champagne and Black Truffles, and a happy ending of Hazelnut crispy biscuit a l'Ancienne with Fudge and Chestnut icecream.

Heritage tips: Do not fidget in your chair when your dinner is served by an army of six, show your amazement at the sommelier's words of wisdom, visit the room especially designed for cell phone conversations, and refrain from smoking, although... even in this establishment rules are made to be broken.
