We recently became the victims of a sweet and melodic assault of our taste buds: chocolate confections presented a the most attractive of packaging, found in a booth located in the biggest mall the Balkans have ever seen, on one of the busiest, most humanly trafficked corridors.
I would think twice, though, before picking up a gift of the chocolate candy called Melodi; you might hear moaning that you’ve caused a complete failure of the after-the-holiday-diet, or that a certain “she” has shifted her focus from “him” to the “chocolate”. Quite an undersatndable outcome, if you take a test yourself and discover the delight.
Since any sinful pleasure has its legend and its detailed excuses, this is certainly one of those stories: the chocolate is made using the best cocoa, milk and secret ingredients, mixing in a tradition which dates back to 1968, Istanbul, Turkey, and which also encompasses Swiss flavors. There were numerous cases when, once in contact with Melodi, the person has felt emotions such as those experienced while falling in love. Some studies are also available to support the theory that chocolate stimulates creativity and productivity. And so you see, this is how we understand how chocolate has an effect similar to that of music, which inspires us with divine sensations.
The shapes and ornaments of the confections are of a broad variety, ranging from musical notes to butterflies, from baby clothes to coins and capsules in colorful foil, from animal shapes to seashells and hearts.
It is nearly impossible to resist the visual scene at the counter, and the art of wrapping the gift is taken to an extreme. They actually place the boxes in square paper bags, which prevent the gift from tilting, thus preserving the intactness of the contents.
