Temptation comes in different shapes and forms, and in 99% of the cases… it’s not good for you. So how about this, for a change:
pomegranate from India
avocado from Brasil
fragrant grapes from Italy
oranges and grapefruits from Spain
olives from Greece
tomatoes on the vine from Holland
berries of all kinds from the mountains of Romania.
Among all the other culinary delights you can find in this particular fresh oasis in Bucharest, these consistently catch my attention. They all sound as exotic as they look, and you will be hard pressed to resist and not be leaving with your bags full.
There is one place to find all them in: Piata Amzei. And there is only one place where all of them can be handed to you (for a hefty buck, that is) by an authentic beauty with braided hair, incredibly tiny waistline and piercing blue eyes. What’s that got to do with fresh fruit and vegetables? Go there, see, taste, smell and eat.
